  • UNC Wellness Center at Meadowmont, Classroom 100 Sprunt Street Chapel Hill, NC, 27517 United States (map)

A Legacy of Love & Pleasure

Somewhere beyond the fatigue of helping others you’ll find the compassion to help yourself.

Designed for formal and informal caregivers (doctors, medical and physician assistants, EMTs, nurses, home care providers, including family caregivers), this workshop introduces the Nia Moving to Heal philosophy, sensation science and the body’s way approach to using movement to help people self-heal, defined as doing something to feel better by enhancing one’s relationship with their body through self-care techniques.

The American College of Ostetricians and Gynecologists has dedicated this year as a time to focus on Junior Fellow wellness; what better way to begin.

Caregivers of all ages and abilities welcome, no experience necessary.

Wear any clothing that allows you to move freely and comfortably, as through movement we find health.

This workshop is a gift (no payment required) to caregivers from UNC’s Wellness Center and Debbie Rosas, co-founder of the NiaTechnique®.
